Hey there :) It's time for another tag post ... just a sneaky little post to help get to know me a bit better :P I first saw this post on the blog From My Vanity by Katie Garvin, although her post was posted a while back in September of 2014. If you want you can check her post on this link: http://www.frommyvanity.com/2014/09/get-to-know-me-beauty-blogger-tag.html
Now, to the questions :) ....
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Naturally, it's quite frizzy and curly.
2. What is your natural hair colour?
Dark Brown (most people tell me it's black, it's not)
3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I have never dyed my hair but I really want to.
4. How often do you wash your hair?
Most of the time, about twice a week.
5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?
It kind of depends on what mood I'm in. My style is very classic but if I'm trying a bit harder, I try to include some more girly pieces and look a tad bit more feminine. Yet again, on an everyday basis, I tend to stick with the basics and just wear black jeans and a t-shirt.
6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I always do my own. I've only had them done at a salon once, to be honest.
NYX is one of my favourite brands. I have tried many different products from them and I can honestly say I've never been disappointed. Although the products are quite affordable, the quality is always great. So, today I thought I would review as well as swatch 3 of the 24 available shades of NYX powder blushes: Mocha, Angel and Pinched.
NYX claims: "Our pressed powder blush delivers sheer, silky color that glides on easily, blends beautifully and creates a natural glow. The formula is richly-pigmented and lasts for hours."
Mocha is a matte mid-tone pink . I would say that this colour would suit almost every skin tone and is very flattering. The formula is very soft and silky and not at all chalky. Remember that a little goes a long way, and it's always easier to build up the colour if you need to rather than removing it.
Angel is a matte soft pink. It is a very subtle colour and therefore can be incorporated in various make up looks. On my skin the colour payoff is quite mild (I have medium-toned skin) so I like to use it as a subtle accompaniment to a contour, on days when I don't feel like having as much colour on my cheeks.
Pinched is a coral pink with gold glitter and iridiscence. This is definitely my favorite out of the 3. Although the gold glitter in the pan can look quite scary if you're not into glitter, it isn't very obvious on the skin. Actually, when the glitter catches the light, it also highlights your cheekbones and gives your skin a lovely glow. Many say that it is a dupe for NARS Orgasm blush which is one of the most iconic blushes of all time.
Regarding the longevity, considering that they are powder blushes, you can expect to have some fading throughout the day yet you're still left with a nice hint of colour on your cheeks, which can easily be touched up if needs be.
The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the packaging. They are packaged in a black plastic casing with a see through lid, which can be very hard to open and is very prone to breaking if dropped. However, for the price I'm not complaining and these blushes definitely have my approval.
Until next time,
I've had the Naked palette for about 4 months now, (I know... about time, right?) but I had heard so many beauty bloggers and Youtubers rave about it, that I just had to give it a try.
Urban Decay describes it as: "the palette that revolutionized neutrals forever. Loaded with 12 bronze-hued shadows in an insane range of textures only Wende and our product development team could dream up—including matte, satin, shimmer and sparkle—Naked proves that neutral is anything but boring. From the palest champagne to the grittiest gunmetal, it’s all here. Whether you’re going for a laid-back, beachy vibe or black-tie drama, you’ll definitely look better Naked."
The pictures below will give you a good idea of what colours are included in this palette:
The shadows are all quite pigmented especially the shimmery/satiny ones. My favourites are definitely Buck, Half Baked, Toasted and Sidecar. In regards to staying power, I found that they tend to wear off if like me, you're constantly touching your face as I find they are quite powdery however using a primer, this seemed to solve the problem. If like me, you really like neutral shades I definitely recommend this palette. In regards to how often I find myself reaching for this palette, to be honest, I think I tend to keep this for nights out rather than for everyday so not as often as some other palettes I own.
Still, it is a great palette and great value for the price. I definitely don't regret buying it.
Until next time,

Hi guys! My first ever blog post :) So recently my mum was shopping and she came across a range of nail lacquers from Golden Rose. I must say they are all absolutely beautiful. No wonder she bought 3 :P Although I have made use of all of them by now, my favourite would probably have to be in the colour 104, a pink/mauve glittery nail lacquer. I would normally associate glitter nail polishes with special occasions and more likely to be kept for a good night out however this one is very wearable even for everyday. Being glittery, I expected that I would have to be really patient with it when applying it, but it actually went on quite easily. It's a very pretty shimmer and I would definitely recommend it. Make sure to check out the swatches below :)
